Thermally it is not very efficient as you waste a lot of energy and it is also slow. If you can increase the thermal gradient it works a lot better.

See if they can refer you to one of their plumber customers. Reckon on a day to replace if you do not need any major additional piping done however it may be an opportunity to see if the system can be upgraded to better controls and higher efficiency.
